Audi A4 2.0 TDI - What oil Type?

Hello all,

I have a 2014 A4 Ultra 2.0 TDI. I am reading about various oil types being used 0W40 and 5W30 in forums guides and youtube etc.

I know the Audi manual gives specs on what is compliant etc, but please would it be so hard to just say one or the other above..


So what are your guys using in your engine? thanks in advance.

Very good, is that 0W40 or 5W30 then?

0W30 ( Shell ) or 5W30 .

Castrol Edge 5w30... goes in like maple syrup and comes out like squid ink. Been using Castrol oils for a number of years now on diesels and works for me. Change oil and filter every 10k miles or annually.
