Buying fuses - where's best?
My cigarette lighter isn't working to charge my phone etc. Charger is fine as I've tested it in the port in the boot and in another car. I assume it must be the fuse for the cigarette lighter that's gone.
Can I just get a generic 20A car fuse or does it have to be a certain type? I've not done any fuses on this car yet so no idea what the craic is with them other than where to find the fuse box.
Apparently Andrew Page etc don't do car fuses; where's the best place to get them? Please tell me I don't have to go direct to Audi!
Cheers.
Re: Buying fuses - where's best?
If it's just a standard blade fuse then any will do. I usually grab aload from the local scrap yard when I visit ;)

Cobblers. They do, but probably only in large multipacks. If you are only after 1 or 2, just go to the local Halfords or similar (unless you happen to be going to a scrapyard as Lozzy suggests!), they are very cheap and there is nothing special about them.

Cheers guys, all sorted. Found a pack on ebay for £2.95; its always worth having spares!
