Independants.Rip off merchants.

My son took his MK2 driver to a very well established independant in our area because his clutch was playing up.The mechanic jumped in,pressed the clutch "oh yes mate you need a complete new clutch £200 thanks"
My son said is it not just the cable?
"no mate,listen I have been doing this for 17 years I know what I am doing".
As my son is very canny (well skint really) and did not take him up on his offer.We spent £20 on a genuine cable and hey presto clutch is fine.
