VCDS needed in or near Rudgwick or Horsham area!

Hi all,

Been a member for a few months and this is my first thread.....or should that be cry for help :(

I have an A6 Avant 2.0L TDI 2010 and after taking the other half to work this morning, good hour long trip, i decided to stop off at mcdonalds for a cheeky egg mcmuffin. On restarting the engine, found the Emissions Control System amber warning light displaying solid. It stayed on for the journey home (40mins drive with varying speeds). Have read a few threads about the warning light disappearing after a day or two; that the ECS needs to regen by doing a constant speed of 45mph for 15-20mins; that it could be linked to the brake lights if they fail. I've done/checked the last two but warning light still lit!
Have booked the car in with Crawley Audi on the 16th March (earliest date available apparently), but would like to get a VCDS on it asap and see what the potential problem could be.

If there is anyone around the Rudgwick, Horsham, Crawley or even Guildford area who can help please let me know.

Thanks for the speedy response. That's great news. Just want to plug her in and see what VCDS throws up before I get shafted by the main dealer;)

You around this weekend or first half of next week to help a fellow audi driver out?
