My '03 Audi Allroad project
Hi!
I finaly have my '03 Audi Allroad at home. I bought as a project and I have a few think to do:
- Battery was low, I have removed it and I am charging outside the car.
- Driver door frame looks bent. Do I need to replace the whole door, just the frame with the door in situ or it can be adjusted?
- Headlights need polishing
- Passenger wing is a bit bent, I don't know if it's better to try to bent back to shape or just replace it.
- Passenger door needs some force to close.
- New car mats needed
- New lid for the central armrest
- and of course, suspension doesn't work correctly.
It has a BAU engine , so I think the camshaft wear is not a major concern right now.
I'll keep you updated with my progress!!
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
Hi,
the front door upper frame unbolts from the door, it can be adjusted,
depends how bad the front wing is and how good you want it to look if you bend or replace,
the passenger door its likely the catch mechanism, for some reason the passenger doors do this after time, especially in the cold, does it close if you push it softly?
suspension?? i know a man who can help with this ;)
keep us updated
best regards
Andy
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
My '99 2.7T Quattro is an ongoing (rolling) project too, I had the headlight polishing to do amongst some other suspension/wheels/trim issues to fix.
I also uprated the bulbs to Philips Xtreme Vision 130% brighter ones, highly recommended (and still 55Watts so a straight swap), as the old bulbs were less bright than a couple of candles
The next issue for me is to sort the sticky rear calipers - hopefully it is just the slider pins and not the actual calipers themselves.
Good luck with the project!
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
I read about the door frame and the wedges, it seems someone replaced the regulator in the past, the wedges were marked with sharpie but door frame is still not lined up. I'll try during the weekend with more light (and less rain).
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
A friend came today to help me with the car, and we have discovered a few things.
Passenger footwell was flooded, and one of the connectors to the CCM was already changed. The CCM was in pretty good shape, but was not possible to connect to module 35, or to code the remote. It seems is not the right CCM for the car, it's an 4B0962258N but it should be a 4B0962258H or 4B0962258K. I need to doublecheck this before sourcing one. (and dry the footwell)
Have an error about the front left suspension height sensor (00776). It seems is complicated to find an used one in eBay for a C5 chassis. Do you know if a different sensor would work?
And, of course, error 01400, but I already receiver a rebuild kit for the compressor and I plan to fit it during the weekend.
Best regards,

Hi,
the level sensors are the same on each corner, (different arms but same sensor) is it definitely bad? In vcds go to module 34 - level control, then measuring blocks and open group 4 to see if it gives a value for each sensor.
You could swap a sensor from another corner to see if fault moves confirming if it is sensor or wiring. And replace with a sensor from any corner.
The water is coming from a blocked drain under the battery tray
Best regards
Andy
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
I removed the battery and tray, the big drain hole was clean. I will clean this area of some dust and leaves, and dry the footwell during the weekend. How I can check wich is the right CCM for the car?
Re: My '03 Audi Allroad project
Seal around the air filter can fail and water get into the aircon system, and can drain out of the lower vents.

This might be the reason.... I'll take a look under the cabin filter.
