Useless DAB Radio

I know I have mentioned this before but by far the most useless thing in the Q7 M4 is the DAB radio.

What a waste, huge blank screen of wasted space and doesn't even show you radio info like what song is playing. To see that you have to go through completed menu every time so annoying.

And don't even get me going about the station artwork not displaying. My wife's Seat Leon displays the DAB station logo of ALL stations effortlessly as she drives around Hampshire, Even Kiss Radio.

But in the Q I can only get the DAB station logo for Radio 1 and some others if I'm in London only.

Has anyone seen a fix for this yet?

I don't think Audi customer service answer emails anymore and they don't seem to be bothered about fixing MMI related issues given the train times issue.

Probably best to use TuneIn instead [emoji853]

I didn't know this until fri but was told by the Audi tech guy that all the information come from a server of sat link from Europe

hence why this can't be fixed or a simple fix as changing the time will then put Europe time wrong then bit bizarre but explains a few things

The train time issue is a simple fix, they just can't be bothered. If you access DB Bahn from a web browser you get the same issue. It's just been coded with no regard to time zones.

The fault is with DB Bahn, but Audi could ask them to fix or code around it but chose to do neither. I've asked them to remove from future advertising as it's broken.

Yep agreed. Train Times still stuffed...

As for DAB, yep, agreed.. also very weird. I'll admit the "signal" is fine for me, but forget slideshows etc... I get BBC National pictures etc, but I got a slideshow once and that was when I drove to Olympia in London and when I was bang in the city I got Heart London and Kiss slideshows.

This annoys me too... Which menu are you using above to enable the track/programme info?

On the whole I find the MMI great in the Q7, apart from sometimes when CarPlay doesn't connect properly. I've had a 2016 A6 and Q5 as courtesy cars over the last week and really missed the Q7 MMI compared to the older models.

Wish our cars did show the artwork on all stations and it just some national ones.

However the A3 thinks it's somewhere else

Lol...I think Audi's new design language and mantra , for uniform experience across the range speaks a volume here heh haa!!

Wow that is diabolical lol [emoji23] can't believe now the A3 shows artwork but Not my Q7. Annoys me.
