It seems, that there are at least two MMI internal software versions are exists, some of them accepts the "reverse the swicth" option, some of them the "remember the last selection".
For me the last one works, the other one behaved as you mentioned. It seems, that you can select the other one.
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
Cheers for the reply, I think I will try the other coding then, just found it odd it seemed to work for a day or so before going back to normal.
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
I managed to disable mine permanently ( Thank the lord-I hate it). I followed a similar post but it didn't work initially, jt just changed the way the light works on the switch. Keep trying, I did and managed eventually.
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
Mine has the "reverse the coding" I think - basically the car starts and it is disabled but I did not have the LED function reversed (so start / stop OFF - the new default - the LED is on). You can reverse the LED function as well which would prevent the slightly annoying LED being on all the time but I quickly got used to that.
Splash set it up for me ages ago and it is brilliant.
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
We just followed the instructions on the VCDS tips and trick thread and it worked. The piste was well marked, and my mental maths just about coped without resorting to our combined fingers and toes. If you decide you do want the light reversed we'll have to call in the cavalry...
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
Weirdly mine has decided tonight to start working again without me doing anything! Its back to "remembering last setting", which is off as I am not a fan of stop/start!
Re: Stop/Start vcds question
Another way to disable stop/start with vcds, open module 10 - park/steer assist, followed by security access, enter the code given by vcds, click adaption, then click the channel tab, scroll down to deactivation of stop start function, then activate it.
Same for turning it back on (if you decide you want it back) except you would select activation of stop start function.
