2007 Audi A6 Telephone

Hi

Was wondering if I could have some advice please. Yesterday I picked up an Audi A6 2007, it has all the buttons for the telephone etc but it keeps saying Telephone unavailable.

I have an i phone 6 and it will not pick that up or an even older phone either.

When I tried to check the MMI it doesn't come up. So I am starting to think that there is no phone on it. The sat nav and everything else is working perfectly.

Any help much appreciated.

Usually it happens because the telephone module was really not fitted, as it's not a factory standard.

The good news is, that this system can be retrofit easily for a reasonable price. The only problem is the shark antenna, which was not installed on the roof in this case, so usually the GSM antenna will be installed under the trunk lid.
