Tdi 150 cut out non start p1664 18072

Hi I've got an anniversary Tdi I stated it up this morning as not used for a while left it running it cut out now just cranks over plenty of diesel in it , a few months ago when I was out I got in and it wouldn't start just cranked over (same fault code as now) I disconnected battery then it started fine done around 1000 miles since no problem code shown is 18072 control circuit for PD injectors :electrical malfunction p1664 . Any ideas appreciated . Thanks

If it went the previous time by disconnecting battery,it may suggest some loose corroded connectors in battery vicinity. (only idea as requested)
Other posts mention wiring harness to injectors,or possible ecu problem.

Hi thanks for suggestions I will investigate next week when I'm off I have another Tdi so may swap a few bits about.
