Any help on how to connect illumination wire to 6 disk in dash changer?

I have tried to search the forum on any help on this but with no joy so thought i would do a new post. Any way i bought a second hand car well my first ever car and there was no cd player. I bought a 6 disk in dash cd changer fitted it fine but it does not light up like the main radio. There was a plug type wire that did come with the changer but i dont know where it goes and it simply looks like it was cut off. Any help on this would be appreciated. I connected the blue plug from the cd changer to the radio and it does work just no lights.
