Does anybody have any information to enable me to sorce the right connecting leads to connect a Philips 6 disc changer to the VW head unit. The Sharan is a 2006 model. I am not sure who the actual manufacturer of the head unit is.
Any help would be appreciated.
As far as I know this won't work. The Philips unit talks a different protocol to the VW head unit, so even connecting them won't make them talk correctly.
You need either a Factory Changer or an aftermarket one with the appropriate adapter box. I believe Blaupunkt, Panasonic and Sony make suitable items, although they can be quite pricey.
Check out Ebay - there is a steady stream of units that come up for sale there.
