Engine will fit no problem
Re: VW BXE Engine problems
Thanks for the reply. Would I need to get recoded.
Re: VW BXE Engine problems
Depends on what you swap over from your engine. Maybe injectors can't think of anything else

You would also have to swap over the ECU from the doner BXE vehicle to yours AFAIK
So, having done that your Immoboliser, which uses information from the ECU, would have to be re-coded unless you can get ahold of the IMMO PCB from the doner vehicle that's at the bottom of the steering column, at least
Your mileometer uses stored information in ECU. So that would have to be re-coded to that stored in the replacement. There's been talk of VAG Commander being able to do this but I've not personally seen it done.
I don't know how your autobox's ECU would react to having a BKC engine instead of a BXE (both 103bhp @ 4,000rpm stock)
Check whether the same module's used for both?
Re: VW BXE Engine problems
When I do an engine change it's almost always bare or even a short motor, that way you're using all your own sensors and electronics. The mechanicals are just bolt on
