Renew your brake fluid with OEM spec fluid!!!
The above title is meant to say re-new your brake fluid with as per OEM spec !!!
I re-newed all my brake fluid at the weekend using a power bleeder , along with the clutch as this is fed from the brake resivoir also ,
Upon bleeding the clutch , all was going well , with fluid coming out of the clutch bleed nipple and out of the tubing nicely , then suddenly i had a splirt of air from the tube !!! then fluid began to appear again then , then nice new fresh stuff came out ,
i did all the other brake nipples after too , starting with furthest away and working way back the resivoir , the old fluid was very dark in colour too ,
then tested it all ,
There is a big difference on the clutch !!! which is what i was hoping for !! as i gettting a few notching gear changes , the pedal feels much more firmer ,obviously I had some air in the system , the brake pedal also feels abit firmer.:biglaugh:
You are meant to change brake/clutch fluid every 2 years !!! mine was last done in 2002 so makes it 5 years ago accrdong ot he service history !!!
It was real easy using a power bleeder too !!!!
So dont neglect your brake/clutch system ;)
