B6 airbag will not stay off!

Hi guys,

I have an 06 1.9tdi passat saloon and need help!
the airbag light came on a while back so I brought it to my local mechanic. He tried a couple of times to get it off and failed, (replaced connections under both front seats etc) I then brought to two more local guys who also failed which brings me to the current mechanic i've been bringing it to, he works in a main vw dealer/garage so should have a good knowledge of this this but is struggling also. He replaced the driver side roof airbag and connections but the light came on the next day so then when he checked the code again and it was for the passenger side airbag in the roof so he replaced that but the light came back on two days later. He's been asking his work colleagues and they haven't been able to shed much light on the situation. I can't afford to bring it too a main dealer and have them rack up a huge bill so that's why om here! any help would be greatly appreciated because the whole situation has my heart broke!
