Clutch problems - '53 plate A3 2.0 FSI
Hi guys
I'm having clutch issues on my A3 2.0 FSI which i bought from a non Audi dealer 1 month ago. High bite point, pedal sticking 1/4 way down sometimes, juddering when I pull off in 1st gear unless I;m revving quite hard. It also doest like going into reverse sometimes and takes several pumps on the clutch pedal before it will go into gear. It's a 53 plate and has done 105K miles.
Can anyone help with some advice ? I'm not mechanically minded so any simple explanations would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Simplest thing is to bring it back to the seller. Unless he sold it to you cheaply and told you it needed a new clutch it's down to him.

Hi have you tryed bleeding the clutch if you have to pump the peddal to get in to any gear then to me sounds like there is air in the line or maybe the slave cylinder is leaking slightly as for the juddering I think you have a dual mass flywheel that may be worn but I wouldnt worry about that to much until you get the clutch changed. I would recommend getting it bled if the problem still there have a look at the slave.

Thanks for the advice - doesn't mean much to me but it will to someone else I'm sure. At least I'll sound like I know what I'm talking about when I take it to the garage !

No worries mate if you need a cluch and fly wheel change I would suggest finding the parts yourself and getting a garage to do the work as garages charge top wack for fly wheel where u could get your own for 2 to £300 less if you look about. Also if slave cylinder has gone its not a major job so don't let them fob you off.
Any problems let me know I'll try my best to help.
