Volkswagen Passat CC MPG, fuel consumption | Car MPG, Car Fuel Consumption
Nobody can't tell me anything advice or some idea...
Re: 2008 passat cc diesel 2.0 fuel consumption
well, your car has a fault, so get the fault fixed and see if that helps.

What was the fault you fixed?
How are you measuring your consumption - using the on board computer or manually?

Fault code was p246f and i've changed gas temperature sensor cable and now everything is fine just my fuel consumption is really bad.
MY mesasuring method is refuel to maxium and when i go back after 100km or last time 300km refuel again and calculate it.
when i'm on my way in the city and i can driving without stopping than currently display shows me 4,5-10l consumption it's depending on how i push gas pedal or how going the road, but when i have to stop because of red light or just traffic on that case every time the currently display shows me 49,9l/100km and this is how i get 11l/100 km consumption.
But this car need to be average consumption
http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/...008/20-tdi-dsg
so 6,2l/100km
this is average so if i use in city i have to get approx 7-8l/100km not 11l...
i hpe i was understandable because of my english is bad. :)

It sounds like you're taking your readings from the instantaneous MPG readout, that won't work, ever. That reading shows the MPG at that instant snapshot and it'll change depending on how you drive, whether you're stationary, WOT, pootling along a country lane etc. You've proven that in your comment which I've bolded above. Of course it reads less the more you push the pedal, you're using more fuel.
A quick and basic way to calculate your MPG would be;
Run the current tank of fuel to as near as empty as you can without completely running out of fuel and fill up the tank to the top. Make a note of how much fuel you have put it - we'll call this amount F.
Before you drive away, reset your odometer so that the mileage reads zero - don't touch it again.
Drive as normal until the fuel light comes on again or until you are as near to empty as you dare and make a note of how many miles you have covered - we'll call this figure M.
Now get out your abacus and do the following;
(M / F) x 4.54609 (the number of litres in one imperial gallon)
That will give you a value for the MPG for that tank of fuel.
Repeat the process a few times and then work out the average.
Don't forget it is winter so there is a natural drop in MPG due to conditions.
Your English is better than quite a few native Englishers, don't worry ;)

Thank you
But that's what i did .
How i did exactly filled up to maximum and i drove it till the light and than i filled up to maximum again and that'S how i calculated i think this way is more right on spot
example
if i drove 800km and i have to fill up 49,6l
than under 100km = 6,2l
so (100*49,6)/800=6,2l and i think that's enough good measuring method.
This is how i got more times in the city 11l/100km fuel consumption
And i can't imagine how it's possible?
What's wrong with the car?
Mechanic checked with his computer and it said engine sístem is fine...
But the consumption ...
