Any one know how to increase the bhp on my A3
currently it is standard 1.8T with the 150bhp
If i get the car remapped what would the bhp increase to?
Is it worth getting an induction kit fitted?
ideally i would like the car bhp increased to 225bhp anyone know how to achieve this quickly and effiecentley also please advice on costy

You missed out big time on the Mapping RR day we had on sunday.
You should easily break the 200BHP mark with a remap.

user 'chip-n-spin' is a mobile mapper and highly recommened.
How much will they charge just for individual remapping ?
Its dependant on car and current spec, but IIRC £350 - £450 as in the 1st posted thread above.
But if you drop 'chip-n-spin' a PM im sure he will sort you out.
I may be missing something here, but if your car is a standard petrol engined version, with no turbocharger or supercharger then there is no way you will get 200 BHP by simple remapping. Remapping works mainly by making the turbo or supercharger work harder by blowing more mixture into the engine, equivalent to increasing the engine cc. Retiming the parameters associated with the combustion will add about 5% to the bhp, but in the absence of a turbo or supercharger this is all you'll get.

The ideal thing is to transplant an S3/ TT engine in, these have much better internals and start with 225bhp and with just a re-map can see circa 265bhp. If your engine has done a few miles this might be the more sensible option rather than pushing yours to its limits.
To be truthful if you’re only after 225bhp then I would just settle for 200/210bhp and go for the re-map/exhaust/cat etc, should cost circa £2k whereas chasing more than this will cost you double for ‘only’ another 30/40 bhp. If you want mega power then the larger turbo etc will cost mega money and you will need to upgrade everything else on your car such as suspension and brakes and potentially transmition.
A remap would be money well spent, if you want big performance gains.
The 150 BHP and 180 BHP engines are the same IIRC with diffrernt maps on them.
So getting both to 200 - 220 BHP will be the same remap.
