MMI Connect App

Could someone please help me with this feature. I have downloaded it onto my iPhone opened the app and added my VIN to create a car but that's about as far as I can get.....tried to click on the car image/details but nothing happens only the option to alter or delete???
do I need to log in to MyAudi in the vehicle or what

The app is very buggy, I can't select my car even though I've registered it to my account
