2011 A3 S-Line reliability
Hey guys I am looking at a used 2011 a3 s-line with 54,000 miles on it. It is out of warranty. My question is how reliable is this car and am I looking to be spending a lot of money in repairs in the future? It has the DSG and is a gasoline engine. I will be commuting pretty heavily, probably 20,000 miles per year. What are your opinions as far as maintenance and reliability for this car. I am affraid of getting a car and having problems that cost an arm and a leg to fix. I am looking for a car to go over 100K miles, can this car make it that way? Any and all input is greatly appreciated!!!
Re: 2011 A3 S-Line reliability
I have never had an A3, however i have owned Audi's for the last 30 years and till now never had any major issues.
If you buy the car as Audi approved it will come with 12 months Audi warranty. This warranty is fantastic and on one occasion they even replaced an interior bulb for me..
If not an Audi approved car I am pretty sure you can still purchase the Audi warranty from https://www.audiextendedwarranty.co.uk/

Don't they come with 3 year warranty or 60k anyway over there or is it different to the Uk

US is different to the UK.
I've had my A3 2 years in December and during that time I will have done roughly 58,000 miles in that time, doing roughly 28/30,000 miles a year. During that time there only has been one fault, a DPF pressure sensor (only on diesel models) and nothing else. I drive the car 5-600 miles a week, every week and nothing else has went wrong.
I've done loads of retrofits such as RNSE satnav, Bluetooth, Audi music interface and cruise control and they make the car so much more enjoyable. I would recommend one to anybody, they're very reliable and well built.
