Combustion failure

Hi guys,

I have a 2006 A3 2.0 TFsi quattro and the engine light came on today. I have just scanned it and Have the following fault codes:

P0300 Combustion Failure detected
Maximum exceeded
P0301 Combustion Failure cylinder 1
detected
Maximum exceeded

I have searched the forum, but nothing came up. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

How much fuel do you have in?

There's half a tank of fuel in it. I should've said, it drives fine but is lump on tick over.

Looking at the Ross tech pages, I guess I should get the big one out of the way and check the compression.

Hello again,

I've done a compression test and cylinder 1 is 110Psi and the other 3 are all 190Psi.
I guess this is pointing towards a burnt out valve.
