Sat Nav DVD

Hi guys,

I have searched and read a couple of threads, I think I know the answer but I am still not 100%.

I have a facelift 2009 a6 with 3G MMI, DVD in glovebox, no joystick on centre knob.

I want to update my Sat Nav disk. If I buy one of these:

AUDI MMI 3G 2012 SATELLITE NAVIGATION EUROPE EUROPA SAT NAV DISC FREE POSTAGE | eBay

Can I just put it in and it will work or would it require activating by audi?

It will need activated by Audi iirc on any 3G system.
