Stuttering/hesitation fixed......hopefully
Thought I better post that i have hopefully fixed my stuttering/hesitation problem (with the help of this forum), I replaced the vacuum actuator on the inlet mainfold (plus major de-grease) and the car has been running great since, into the 5th day and no stutters or hesitations, hard to believe a £10 part can cause such poor running !!!! I did take my old unit apart to see if there was a split in the diaphragm but on initial inspection I couldn't see one which was a worry but when I stretched the diaphragm sure enough there was a little split which was a relief, started car up and its running sweet now :D
I should also add that the flaps on the inlet manifold that the actuator controls were so crudded up that I don't think they could have been moving either....

Great news :) ... I've gotta decoke my EGR/Intake, not looking forward to it  ...
Did you just use a method of manual carbon removal or use a chemical for soaking?
Last time I did some decoking on a part I used a bit of diesel to soak it and manual cleaning ...

Lots of careful scraping then 2 cans of carb cleaner, it wasn't like new but a hell of a lot better than when I started !!
