Other fault sources than the aftermarket radio problem?
Hey folks.
I've gotten hold of VCDS-lite and the correct drivers for the cable, but my car seems to not respond to my setup. I've tried to disconnect the radio, but this didn't work.
I've checked the entire fusebox for blown fuses, nothing. The blue light on my cable comes on when plugged in.
I'm really lost as to what it can be. Everything on the computer should be fine, and I've tried deleting the drivers, installing it on both a Windows 7 and Windows XP computer and so on. Nothing works.
Anybody have the same error like "no interface found" but "port ok", and had luck disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU?
Car : Audi A3 1997/1998, aftermarket radio and AGN engine along with the supposedly **** 01m trans.
Re: Other fault sources than the aftermarket radio problem?
What version of windows are you using ? You might need to point the com port to the interface and lower the baud rate a little especially if you're using a "dumb" interface/aka aftermarket !
Re: Other fault sources than the aftermarket radio problem?
I'm using both Windows 7 and XP. Tried disconnecting car radio, no help in that.
What do you suggest setting the baud to? I've tried to download the registry modifications that allow 10400 and 9400 baud for the ft 232r driver, but no luck.
Thanks for your response!
