I once saw on this site someone post a link to a site which allowed you to do a search on your car number plate and see a list of the spec it had when it left the factory..
Does anyone know where I can find this?
Cheers

Does that site work? I entered my number plate and it said nothing.
I'm guessing it's not identity fraud stuff as I can't see what good a registration number would do without documentation to back it up.

You dont enter your number plate, (title is slightly decieving). If you look in the front of your service book which came with the car you should see a printout with several 3 digit codes, if you enter these codes followed by a semi colon with no spaces it will explain exactly what was fitted to your car in the factory.
Hope this helps
Doors, wheels, brakes, headlights......
;P
something like that:D
Glass's Guide can do this.
If you go to http://www.glass.co.uk you can do a check for the value of a car from the number plate. Follow the "Used Car Prices" link on the front page. They charge you for the valuation, but before you get to that stage there's a section that gives the exact model of the car. There's a tab there which lists original equipment.
I'm starting to look for a 2004 model year A4 avant 1.9 TDi (6) 130 so I can get cruise control, heated mirrors and rear electric windows. The site is proving very useful :-)
