Ive just ordered new rear discs for my A6. Ive checked my current discs and they're 5 studs. However they have 9 holes in, of which 4 are covered up. Ive ordered hole discs. Will these be ok? Thanks in advance

Do you mean 9 holes round the hub of the disc I take it? Can't see an issue so long as the dimensions are matching the right audi ones and the 5 studs correctly line up. Where did you buy them from as this sounds more lkie a generic disc, although some manufacturers prob. do this all the time :-) Pretty sure my EbC discs only had the 5, plus the torx screw holethough you've got me wanting to check again now!
p.s. I hope you've got a vcds cable! You'll need it to get the calipers unlocked and taken off :-)
Yeah 9 holes around the hub. Yeah ive got the genuine VCDS cable and software so that's not an issue. I got them off Euro car parts. They're half decent Bosch discs so hopefully they'll be fine. The dimensions of the disc various slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer but not a great deal
I can't comment on after market disc sizes but you can check your option codes for factory fit brake option by entering PR codes off data sticker in spare wheel well/service log ...
Here is a link to a decoder, there is also a PDF on this webpage about the data sticker ... Link:- http://prsearch.planetvag.com/
Cheers gupsterg. Ive just double checked the diameter and thickness of the discs ive ordered against genuine parts and they're exactly the same. Just seemed weird how the genuine ones on the car at the minute had 9 holes in the hub, only 5 of which were fully drilled through. Where as the new ones have 9 holes and all 9 are drilled through. cant see it making any difference to be honest
What brand did you get?
They're Bosch discs. A few of the guys at work said they're reasonable discs.
I fitted Pagid pads & discs all round, mine a 3.0 TDi TIP Avant, PR codes for brakes 1LG Front & 1KD Rear ... done over 10K miles on them zero issues, same if not better performance as the genuine ones they replaced ...
IIRC they had 9 holes and all drilled plus the 10th being the one for the torx screw to hold it to the hub, I will double check at some point, images for the discs on the web also show 9 holes ...

Some posts that maybe useful info ...
Thanks mate. I did wonder as to why, whenever you type in your reg on a parts website, they show discs of seperate diameters and thickness for the same vehicle. If the disc is vented then its adds 10 mm onto the thickness. Wasn't sure if you'd need a slightly larger hub so just stuck with what I knew and ordered the 302 x 12 mm discs. Yeah Its weird how they're purely 5 holes on the front but 9 plus the Torx screw on the rear
My discs were Brembo and pads Jurid, which my indy assured me were as good if not better than OEM in terms wear/progressiveness/longevity
