Adaptive air suspension/parking module
Hey guys
Recently got my hands a audi a6 avant with adaptive air suspension.. But all the gaps between the wheels and the arches are all random when parked up.. especially the front drivers side.. there doesnt seem to be any logic to it.. does it automatically self level? or is there any checks you know of with out going to the <WHERE>? or if its possible to lower the car using vag com?
ps also does anyone know where the reversing module is on a a6 57 plate avant? some say its in the right side of the boot but i can't seem to find it :(
kind regards
chip
Re: Adaptive air suspension
There may be some sort of component that has failed within the suspension.
I would be getting a fault code scan done.
The pdc box is indeed on the right hand side behind the removable flap - that's where mine is in my Saloon.
It's labelled parklihfe or similar.
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Hi
Wouldn't i get an error on the dash prompting me to an error?
I've looked where they say and i just cant see it.. i take it its just floating around? do you think there would be much difference between a saloon and the avant?

Re: Adaptive air suspension
I'm not sure but I'd still be getting it scanned just to make sure.
Its a small black box with I think 2 connectors
Re: Adaptive air suspension
okay i'll look into it :0
Has for this little black box i cant see it.. Audi must of hidden it when they put mine together
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Look right up into the space, mine is definitely there as I accidentally broke the little bracket holding it on
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Not same location as saloon... It is still on right side of boot but located under the right hand trim where it meet the adjustable load rail... Will upload photos as I changed mine to enable graphical sonar display :) ...
Re: Adaptive air suspension
That would be great it's the exact same reason I want to find it. How did you get to it? The little compartment on the right or from underneath where the spare wheel is?
Re: Adaptive air suspension
Hi,
Ref this DAB guide on trim removal... Link:- DAB Retrofit Avant MMI 2G HIGH
Location of PDC module is red arrow...

I just removed the load rail and partially pulled the right side boot trim away to gain access I did not strip boot like above, the image is just for clarity...
My old module... IIRC I lifted it from up from the edge towards front of car as it slides under from the clip on opposite end... the tabs on harness plugs must be pushed for removal...

Re: Adaptive air suspension
OMG all that free space and they decide to fit there! Ive not looked at the removal of the fixing rails yet. But i take it you didn't find it to hard a job? Can you remember what the part number was of your old module? My car only has the rear sensors and I think I've read somewhere that certain modules can just have the visual feature turned on!
thanks for the photos :)
