My reverse sensors have stopped working, i get a beep sound as soon as i reverse but then it stops working..
Has anybody replaced a sensor ?
Can it be done yourself or does the system need to be reset ?

With my Allroad, the rear bumper has to be removed to gain access. However, with your Avant you are in luck - reach behind bumper cover, unplug electrical connector. Next push the two tabs apart (which are attached to the inside of bumper) and pull out parking sensor. As often said, install is the reverse procedueQuote:

Did you manage to resolve this issue with the sensors?
I had a problem with mine . I realized it was resolved by removing the towing connector as it blanks of the rear fog lights and reversing sensors when it's plugged in.
