Polo GTI twincahrger-reliable?
I've been thinking of downsizing from my A4 to a Polo Gti but having looked at the Briskoda forum, I'm wondering if this is a good idea.
Apparently this engine (as used in the Fabia vrs) has been known to give problems with the oil consumption, sometimes so serious,a new engine is needed.
Is this correct?
Also what fuel consumption round town could I expect,I get around 30 in the Audi (95 octane)
Thanks in advance

Yes this is a common fault with this engine and more so on the Polo.
The other issue is that TSI engines need to be run on 98 RON in order to keep them from having piston faults.

Is the EA888 engine (2.0 turbo petrol 2010) in mine a "TSI" engine?
The Manual and inside the filler cap says 95 RON

2.0 petrol TSI is only turbocharged and for the most part is a good engine - it is chain driven also. TSI's can be single or twin charged.
