VW Polo 1.4 2002 OBD code identification
Recently my gearbox symbol and EPC dashlight came on, sending the car into limp home mode with no power. Using a code reader P1641 was identified, resetting the unit cleared the fault and the normal power returned. But the same error light has returned.
Can anyone identify what the fault is

i can't find 18049. can you check that code. 18048 and 18050 yes, but not 18049 on autodata ?

DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Codes. i.e. scan the HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) for fault codes.

18049 Read out fault memory of air conditioning CU
18049 is a possible code on that cars engine ECU but for the engine and box MIL's to come on there have to be more codes than 18049 stored on the engine ECU and the box ECU should have a code as well.
