my audi 80 1.9 tdi wont start wen cold. the glow plug light only lights for a second. ive replaced the glow plugs. i also have the glow plug replay on order. from reading posts it mentions about the coolant temperture sensor. where is this on the 1Z engine?
i found the coolant sensor and unplugged it. when i turn the key, the plug light comes on for about 20seconds nowinstead of a second. thou its on for 20 seconds the car is very hard to start still, takes alot of turning over. if the plug light is on for 20 seconds with the coolant sensor disconnected are the plugs still heating? so im guessing i need a new coolant sensor.
what else can be causing this starting problem if its not the plugs, relay or sensor?
