Expensive to fix? 005491 - Left Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N144): Open Circuit
Hello friends,
I have a 160K mile A6 C6 2.7 Tdi which is fantastic in every respect but it's getting on in terms of mileage.
I have the standard Swirl flap problems (will do something about it one day, did everybody see the re-manufactured units on eBay for £180 a side?) and some minor parking sensor problems but this one has just started to appear over the summer.
Well, you'll see it's only happened the once but I also saw it in June and cleared the fault.
I have done a bit of googling and it seem to be related to the hydro mechanical engine mounts that the car can tighten up when you give it the beans. If it's engine mounts then it sounds like a nightmare to get to and pull off for checking / cleaning. Is there anybody out there that has done the job?

I have the same fault on my car and was told it was approx £100 to fix. They also told me it won't cause any problems so most people ignore it.
