Forget the beaches .. Get to Germany for some Autobahn and Nurburgring fun ;)
Although I'd love to drive to Italy - somewhere round the south.
South of France is also very tempting.
why bother going anywhere but wales. we have some of the best beaches and roads that are second to none. in fact, since moving here, i wouldn't want to go anywhere else. most people forget about wales when planning a trip, don't know what they are missing...
Being a concrete jungle dweller and having Blackpool, Southport and Wales pretty much equidistant from me, I have to agree with zol.
I've only really touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of exploring Wales but their beaches are gorgeous and scenery is amazing.
I keep meaning to get to lake vyrnwy (mycarsav :p)...
Did holyhead country park recently and I was left gobsmacked. Bloody nice drive there too!
Nurburgring with a toddler in the car?? Ha ha ha... He would probably chuckle!
We are looking at about 2.5k round trip.... Gulp!
It has to be beachy for my GF (and me).. Thinking of taking a month and stopping all the way down
I do agree with Wales.. Took my motorbike to Aberwystwith and was blown away by the ride...
It will have to be hot though otherwise my GF won't be happy!! We will do Wales though... And Cornwall... And the lakes
it gets hot in wales, so hot that sometimes i take my coat off and just wear a jumper.
i cannot recommend pembrokeshire enough. it is totally different to the rest of wales being a lot flatter and a lot greener.
Is that whilst running up hill ;)
Aye, if warm is what you're after, Wales isn't the place for you. My first holiday there was a week in middle may. Being the obstinate little **** I am, I still went for a swim.
Any reason you're road tripping it and not, eg, going for a cheap last minute getaway?
