Can anybody give any clues as to what could be the problem. We have an A4 that makes a "boing" noise when braking. It's not a broken spring, and the brake pads are fine. Could it be something with the calipers? Thanks for any help.

Strut top bearings, ball joints, shockers etc , worth a look at all these points
Sounds like your ABS could be kicking in. Might be best to run it through VCDS and check for any fault codes relating to the ABS sensors. Might be worth a look if none of the above suggestions have been fruitful...
