Touran heater only works on 4

Hello.

i have just bought a 2005 touran 1.9 which I am very happy with except for one niggling fault. The heater will only work on setting 4, on 1-3 no air comes out of the vents, on 4 it roars out. It does make keeping warm in this weather a bit noisy. I would be very greatful for any information to help me fix this without having to pay main dealer prices.

There is a fix on another model (maybe a Passat??) where you can just replase a resistor on the pack, with one from Maplins. I cant find the link now, but would that work on the Touran? I guess the part will be the same.
