Faulty Wipers

Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help me but here goes. I have a problem with my 98 A4 turbo in that my windscreen wipers stay on permanently no matter which setting I use they stay on the standard wipe even when they are turned off. another twist to this is that when I put my lights on main beam the wipers stop altogether and won't work at all. they work on side lights and won't stop but main beam they stop also my headlight washers continue to spray until all the fluid is gone. I've had to disconnect the headlight sprayer pump to stop this.

Has anyone had a similar problem and knows of a fix for this. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
