Reversing light

Hi guys.

Parked the car up this evening and the girlfriend informed me my drivers side reverse light isn't working.

Had a quick look online.
1). To see what bulb I need
2). Why I didn't get a bulb of warning.

Bug from what I've found online... This is 'normal'
I have the factory fitted xenons but have a white lense on either side.



Only the passanger side should work... Is this correct ???

IIRC when you have Xenons you have rear LEDs as its part of the Highline package and every A6 I've seen with rear LEDs only have one reversing light.

You need to come and have a look at mine then!!......i have the rear LEDs and have TWO reversing lights(not LEDs sadly!!)....and yes, they both work. Maybe a change of spec on the facelifted post 2009 models??

Sorry I was referring to the prefacelift cars last night. When the cars were facelifted the rear lights were changed and the reversing lights were changed to normal bulbs within the led clusters.

I also noticed on the B8 A4, the rear indicators and reversing lights were also normal bulbs not led like brakes etc.

Actually, after having changed all internal bulbs to nice white LEDs, as well as the number plate ones and being well impressed with the look, I might change the reversing lights to the same.....should look the part! At least then the rear of the car will be uniform LEDs all the way then..

Good idea. I always wondered why the facelift didn't have full led clusters? :confused:
