Central Locking Audi A4 QuatrroTDI

Hiya Everyone I have a problem with central locking and fuel flap, central locking stopped working so used key, then went to fill up & couldn't open fuel flap, someone told me it might be ' the vacuum pump ' is it a big job or can I buy the part & fix it myself? Appreciate any help as any job done at garage costs hundreds:o Cheers me dears!

Hi, if your A4 is B5 shape (pre 2001) and you can either not hear your locking pump or can hear it running for over 10secs, you probably need a replacement pump.

It is very simple job to change.

Thanks for the advice INI, husband went ahead & put car in Audi garage, nearly £500 bill:aargh4:, I would have a go myself to fix it but he was having none of it, he loves that car;)

Hi Marion,

I can repair the central locking pumps. As INI says, it very easy to do and I can tell u over the phone how u can do it yourself in 10-15 mins. Or alternatively I can do this.
