strange screeching/squealing noise when slowing
I seem to have a strange noise like a screeching/squealing noise when slowing using the clutch. Basically when i drop into a lower gear and lift the clutch it squeals!
I doubt its the clutch or dmf an i changed both around 3k ago. An ex vw tech says its poss the alterator clutch pulley but that looks fairly new also.
Anyone had this problem and managed to cure it?
Re: strange screeching/squealing noise when slowing
Hi Nuss, when the clutch and dmf were changed was the clutch release bearing changed at the same time, i ask because the release bearing is normally a seperate item and not part of the kit and do normally squeal when lifting the clutch pedal or putting it under loud

Hmm i seem to remember changing it but not 100% sure. Theres no noises at all when pressing clutch pedal when parked only does it when under load. Ive just started hearing a droning noise as well while cruising and while coasting out of gear so suspecting wheelbearing aswell
