Help with my 2011 A4

Hello!

I'm wondering if there is any way to see my MPG in the driver information display. I looked in the manual and found instructions, but you need to have the trip computer option. I don't believe I have that, so can I only view the range? Seems kind of odd.

Also, I was reading up on the seats. Apparently you can lengthen or shorten the upper thigh support by fiddling with something under the seat? I can't really find that switch even though I do have the power seats.

Edit: Also just found a dead bug in one of my over head lights. Happens to be the front passenger reading light. Does anyone know how to get the bug out?

Wecome to the forum, I can't help with your Q's but a spider in your overhead light would remove the fly.......

Don't you have the buttons underneath and on the end of the wiper stalk? I didn't realise that wasn't standard, would be P'ed off if I didn't have it.

I know the thigh support is on the S-Line seats, there's a little recessed button in the centre, underneath the sloping part at the front of the seat, that allows you to pull out the extension. I had it on my old A6 (C4) and glad to have it again.

Weird. There should be a reset button on the bottom of the wiper stalk and a rocker switch on the end.

Yes, I saw that in the manual but I don't have that. I'm pretty sure my A4 is about as basic as it gets, but it is surprising that you need some package deal to see information about your car....

I know if I push the set button the display shows a few different pictures and warning lights, but never any useful information.

Regarding the interior light- I'm not sure about the B8 as I can't remember what the light set-up is but the norm is you can remove the light housing from the roof liner by prising it away along the edges gently with a flat head screwdriver

Does yours have the multicolour DIS, or the red monochrome DIS? maybe that's the difference that gets the controls on the stalk.

Am I right in believing that you are not in the UK, hence you will not have a UK spec car and so helping you will be difficult.

The fly is a little easier, as I would use a bird to catch the spider that was recommeneded earlier to catch that fly.

Why would an Audi swallow a fly?

You need to take it to your dealer for a software upgrade. That should remove any bugs ;)

My screen is all red.

I just realized that this is a UK site. I feel kind of stupid. That's what I get for lurking around on forums following links to other forums. Oh well.
