Rear Shocks

Hi All

Does anyone know what is the standard make VW rear Shocks for a PASSAT 2003 1.9TDi se

Looking at replacing after 120k on the clock and would either just swap like for like or uprate if any suggestions :p

The original ones are made by BOGE SACHS.
They go for about £40 each at the usual suspects.

I replaced mine with Bilstein's B4 which are supposed to be OE equivalent and were what Eurocarparts had off the shelf. They were a disaster. They did something weird when going too slowly over speed humps, then leaked and finally rattled. they didn't last anywhere near as long as the factory ones.

I have KYB gasajust now from buypartsby, but they are a little stiffer, so would try their lower range Excel-G next time.

Koni rust badly and they are not interested when contacted. Paint comes off in sheets as if the casings were sprayed when already rusty. Avoid.
