you have bacteria growing in the system, which needs getting rid of with an air con cleaner
Can i do that myself?
If so how?
Cheers
you can buy an aerosol from most factors that you leave in the car with the aircon on recirculate for 10 mins or so.
As stated, bacteria can / will grow in the system, this seems to be especially worse if you leave the AC off for extended periods of time....I leave mine on always, helps to keep the car windows from fogging up too :approve:
These air con cleaners ( Comma ) is on are around £10 and pretty good.....They are put into the car with the A/C on full blast all vents open for around 10 mins and leave a lovely fresh citrus smell. :beerchug:
This happened me but the smell was rotten eggs. A clean and cleanser was used to get rid :)
I would remove the socks from the A/C.........I'll get me coat......
This happens as said before when you don't use it often, you can use a £2 tin of antibac spray with the car running on re-cycle, but when this last happened to me it cleared itself after about ten minutes, tends to be if you have the controls on screen clear mode.
You could also check the pollen filter and replace it just to make sure.
