Allroad - Turbocharger Sensor
Whilst on holiday in France a couple of weeks ago my 2.5TDI Allroad lost a lot of power, and started throwing a lot of black smoke out. As I was towing a caravan at the time it did not feel like I was going to get much farther. Fortunately we were only a couple of miles from an Audi Dealers in Chartres. At first I thought it was the turbocharger, but the message back was that some sort of sensor on the turbo had failed. Whats would that be for? Presumably to measure turbo boost?
Re: Allroad - Turbocharger Sensor
Probably yht over boost pressure sensor put you into limp mode, thus the loss of power. How much did they charge you. Regards Peter
Re: Allroad - Turbocharger Sensor
Can't quite understand the bill, need to translate it but 220 euros. Think there might be some recovery costs in there.
Re: Allroad - Turbocharger Sensor
About right 120 euros for the MAP plus 100 for diag, labour and tax. Looks like the tow was free. Regards Peter
