Black Audi Rings
Morning All,
An A6 with Black Audi rings passed me this morning, look mean. Still had the chrome, but really liked the Black 4rings.
I know you can get these on E-bay easy enough, but can any help with how to change them.
Does the front grill pop out and is the rear one stuck on. ??
Cheers guy's, I'm ordering 2xBlack Audi rings tonight soon as I get home.

Re: Black Audi Rings
you should remove grill to remove the rings but thats a bumper off job
or you can prise the old rings off but they will break thats what i did but knew it would happen
new rings just snap back into place
i painted mine black
and iv never seen black rings on the bay and you cant get them oem

Re: Black Audi Rings
HI Bez,
I'm sure I found some on Flea BAy the other night. I'll have another look tonight and let you know. I guess if you have a new set of rings to pop in doesn't really matter if the old ones break coming out.
Are the rear Badges just stuck on ?
have to be very careful taking the rear one off as might damage the paint.

Re: Black Audi Rings
yes rears just stuck on
give them a bit of heat with a hairdryer and use a credit card to get it off
use sticky stuff remover etc to remove old glue and polish back up

Re: Black Audi Rings
Careful using a hairdryer near the paintwork though.....I read in a few places that it can heat the paint to the point of blistering.
I debadged my car using the hiardryer method. Picked the badges off with my fingers then used a combination of polish and WD40 to remove residue.
Not sure what others will think of the WD40 on paintwork but if you go for it you'll definitely need to polish afterwords - it'll remove any proetction from the paintwork.
I did mine a few months ago and it looks perfect.
