Hi everyone.... I've got a 98 2.4 transporter and there was an oil leak so stripped it down to replace the crankshaft oil seal.... Like the complete moron i am i didn't take notice of any timing marks before i removed the belt and now i can't find any marks to line it back up before refitting the belt.... Any ideas???? It's sendin me bonkers :aargh4:
one mark on the flywheel difficult to see but it is there,remove camcover and line the back of it with head only lines up one way....another mark on the pump which lines up with a mark on the bracket
cheers for that... I'll go and have another look... Couldn't see any marks but i'll get my torch out and have a gander
they are there but difficult to see its easier with two people turn it over very slowly and you will see it but be careful you dont damage the valves if it now not timed up..............
