the only real way for a correct diagnosis is to get the vehicle on a aircon machine to read the correct pressures. im affriad a visit to the dealer for an aircon pressure check is in need. any good aircon diagnosis tech can tell you what is wrong by the pressures. what is this can your on about???
if you need to go to a dealer, go to VW not an Audi dealer, jus cuz in my experience Audi dealerships will rob you blind whereas VW will charge you waaay less for the same work, often with better customer service!
it is a recharger can with a charge indicator on the lid. It was well into the red and says on the can that professional help is required. Was wondering if there is a way round paying *********** prices. I can get a regas done for £50 but i dont think that will solve the problem as obviously a re gas isnt needed if the pressure is way above what it should be. It was so high it blew a hole in the re gas tube on the can
Doesnt sound too acurate to me.... The only way round dealership prices is a plain old aircon specilaist. But in my opinion as i am an Audi tech and more so the aircon specilist, sometimes its best to take to a dealer and get it sorted first time. It one of those you get what you pay for things. Ill tell you now that Audi dealers are not taking you fo a ride, or just trying to take your money. being an S3 surly you want the best. Have a word with camberley Audi? im sure you will be surprised... what year is the S3?

my s3 is a v reg 2000 and it is the only thing that doesn't work the way it should. I probably won't use the air con very much but would like it to be working for if and when i do.
