A3 Ac wierdness

Hi all,

the ac on my wife's A3 has stopped working.

when you press the ac button you get an increase in the fan blow for a few seconds then it dies down and it does not get cold. we have checked the fuse but am at a loss as to what to try next...

could it just need regassing?
Is it a blown compressor?

Any help greatly appreciated...

You need a code read on the climate system to see what is stored and this should tell you what is wrong, anything else is a guess.
