    Only as much as a 20 quid fault code reader from Ebay. If you mean vagcom or vcds, then no, lol. Probably worth getting though eh?

    I don't think I answered this fully as I've been sidetracked so many times. I replaced the ignition switch, and the problem went away, never to return.
