    What year is it? The 2009 facelift model has the module in the boot connected to the glovebox mmi unit, the older A6 is much more complicated.

    Yes it is indeed the 2.0 TDI ultra. I should also add that the flashing glow plug is an intermittent fault. When not triggering the fault, the car performs

    All sorted, it was the 4 wire plug on the gearbox which runs across to the boost sensor, seems like I'd just not clipped it in all the way. Good place
