    Volkswagen is celebrating the world premiere of the new Touareg V8 TDI at the Geneva International Motor Show (7–17 March). Its output of 310 kW / 421 PS makes it the most powerful SUV with a diesel engine from a German manufacturer. The maximum torque of the high tech turbo diesel engine reaches the level of a super sports car: 900 newton metres. Whether cruising at low speeds, moving fast or going off- road – this power provides superior drive characteristics. The new flagship vehicle will come on the market at the end of May.


    The new Touareg V8 TDI

    The 250 km/h-fast Touareg V8 TDI demonstrates the potential of its dynamics as it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Like all Touareg models, the new V8 version also complies with the Euro 6d-TEMP emission standard. Those purchasing the top model will have the choice between the standard Elegance design package or the Atmosphere package. Elegance stands for a technical interior design dominated by metal and cool colour tones; Atmosphere is a warm interior environment where wood and natural tones prevail.

    In a first for Vorsprung durch Technik the Audi stand at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show will be
    exclusively occupied by electrically powered models. The world premiere of the Audi Q4 e-tron concept and the European reveal of the Audi e-tron GT concept will take place on the stand in Hall 1 at the Audi press conference starting at 8:00 a.m. (CET) on March 5, 2019. In all, a total of four all-electric cars will headline for the brand, all of which will have been rolled out in series production form by the end of 2020. In addition four new plug-in hybrid models will also make their debuts, and the world of Formula E racing will be represented by the latest Audi e-tron FE05 racing car.

    Chairman of the Audi Board of Management, Bram Schot: “We have set ourselves a clear goal – one in three new Audi vehicles sold will have electrified drive in 2025 already. Because we are pursuing a clear vision – we are committing ourselves to emission-free mobility.”

    Deliveries of the Audi e-tron, the first member of this new quartet of electric vehicles, are set to begin soon.     Countdown to the launch of the extensively upgraded Passat has begun: The update to the Volkswagen bestseller that has sold almost 30 million units over the years, will be unveiled to the public for the first time on 7 March at the Geneva International Motor Show.

    Volkswagen celebrates the launch with the world premiere of an equally exclusive sporty limited edition: the Passat Variant R-Line Edition. Limited to 2,000 units. All-wheel drive (4MOTION) with optional top-of-the-range engine with 176 kW/240 PS
    (TDI) or 200 kW/272 PS (TSI). Pre-sales of the limited edition will begin in Europe in May.


    The new Passat Variant 4MOTION R-Line Edition configuration comes in a unique design, with the high-tech all-rounder painted in the new “Moonstone Grey” finish. A number of black feature elements have been added to provide contrast, most prominent among them the high-gloss black roof. The roof-edge spoiler, roof rail, and wing mirror caps are also black. The side window frames, rear diffuser, headlight rims and all trim also come in high-gloss black. The dark LED tail lights and high-gloss black 19-inch alloy wheels (“Pretoria” type) have also been consistently integrated into this colour scheme.

    A 620PS V10 engine, matt paintwork, bronze-coloured highlights inside and out, and strictly limited: Audi is celebrating the enduring appeal of the V10 engine with the Audi R8 V10 Decennium, a special edition limited to just 222 units worldwide which will briefly form part of the new Audi R8 range. The name Decennium translates from the Latin as “decade,” referencing the ten years in which the much loved naturally aspirated engine has captivated on the road and in motorsport.

    From the outset, the Audi R8 V10 Decennium makes its character abundantly clear. The special model is available as a coupé and painted in exclusive Daytona Grey, matt effect. The milled 20-inch wheels and the intake manifold of the 5.2 FSI engine are finished in matt bronze. The front spoiler, the side sills and the diffuser are painted in gloss black, supplemented by black Audi rings and badging. The side blades and the exterior mirror housings are made from gloss carbon fibre. To protect the look, an exclusive car cover with bronze-coloured “Decennium” embroidery is included as part of the package.


    The interior of the Audi R8 V10 Decennium is also finished entirely in black, with the inlays in gloss carbon fibre adding highlights.

    There is a special tool for removing them, bent long nose pliers also work if you remember not to put too much pressure whilst pulling upwards
