With more than 18 million units built, the Polo is one of the world’s most successful compact cars. Now, in a world premiere, Volkswagen is set to unveil the next evolutionary stage of the Polo; presales will start in May already. The design, technologies and specification matrix of the bestseller have had a comprehensive update, as is immediately obvious when you see the vehicle’s new front and rear. • ID.3 is now available from just Ł28,370* in new entry-level City trim
    • 45 kWh (net) battery provides up to 217 miles of range (WLTP, combined)
    • City and Style specifications further broaden appeal of ID.3 family

The Volkswagen ID.3 will be available from Ł28,370* in new Pure Performance guise from tomorrow. Two trims – entry-level City and design-focused Style – become available with the new powertrain, in addition to the Pro, Pro Performance and Pro S versions already on sale in the UK. The Pure Performance is differentiated by its lighter 45 kWh (net) battery, 150 PS power output and 310 Nm of torque.

The two new ID.3 specifications – City and Style – are also unveiled with the debut of this important new fourth powertrain option. The new Pure Performance variant majors on performance and value, offering a 150 PS and smaller range alternative to the punchier, and larger Pro, Pro Performance and Pro S powertrains, while still providing a muscular 310 Nm of torque. In Pure Performance guise, the ID.3 reaches 62 mph from a standstill in 8.9 seconds, and matches the 99 mph top speed of the rest of the ID.3 range.

Both specifications can regain up to 137 miles of range from a 100 kW rapid charger in 30 minutes, while a 7.2 kW home charger takes around seven and a half hours to take the ID.3 Pure Performance from 5% to 100%. Charging 5% to 80% from a DC, CCS charge point takes 31 minutes. On the WLTP combined cycle, the ID.3 City Pure Performance can return up to 217 miles from a single charge, while the Style Pure Performance can return as much as 215 miles.

SEAT has updated its small city car, the Ibiza, refreshing the exterior and undertaking a revolution to the interior, which includes new connected technology and driver assistance systems.

The SEAT Ibiza has been a key pillar of the brand’s success since it was first introduced in 1984 and, after 37 years, five generations and nearly six million sales, it’s SEAT’s most successful vehicle to ever roll off the production line. • Full LED Matrix headlights make their ŠKODA Kodiaq debut
    • New top-of-the-range engine for the sporty ŠKODA Kodiaq vRS
    • The ŠKODA design language further developed, and new alloy wheels
    • Exceptionally spacious interior with attractive visual and technological features

Revamp of the Kodiaq: roughly four years after ŠKODA launched the first model in its SUV campaign the carmaker has now upgraded the globally successful Kodiaq. The Czech brand has further developed the emotive design of the Kodiaq, which can also be ordered as a 7-seater, and improved its aerodynamics. For the first time, the range of options for this large ŠKODA SUV includes innovative full LED Matrix headlights. The sporty range-topping Kodiaq vRS has not only had a visual makeover but has also been given a new, more powerful TSI engine. The updated Kodiaq will be available from July.

Thomas Schäfer, ŠKODA AUTO CEO, said: “The Kodiaq was a real game changer for us. It was the first model of our SUV campaign and opened up a completely new, rapidly growing vehicle segment. Our customers and the international trade press appreciate the Kodiaq’s brand-typical qualities, just as they do with our other models: excellent value for money, ample space and comprehensive range of equipment. Now we have further refined the specification of our large SUV, offering even more safety and comfort with new features, such as full LED Matrix headlights and ergonomic seats.”

New front design and full LED Matrix headlights

As a result of a further refined ŠKODA design language, the Kodiaq presents as even more emotive and self-assured. The upgrade will be available in the S, SE and SE L trim levels and in the L&K, SportLine and vRS variants. The S, SE and SE L trims will come with aluminium-effect detail on the front and rear apron, lending the SUV even more off‑road styling. The restyled front with an elevated bonnet and the redesigned, more upright ŠKODA grille reinforce the Kodiaq’s bold appearance. The Czech carmaker’s large SUV features LED headlights as standard and, for the first time, can be equipped with full LED Matrix headlights. New alloy wheels measuring up to 20 inches further enhance the car’s dynamic and striking look. Special Aero wheels, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and the new gloss black rear spoiler and finlets on the sides of the rear window all reduce drag. The Kodiaq vRS now features a distinct, dynamically designed model-specific front bumper.
